Crash Day - A whole new crash experience!

Crash tests for the 16th ARC-CSI Crash Conference will again be held on the infield of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway where attendees will again have use of the Media Center building, free WiFi in an air conditioned room with optional presentations during the down time between crashes.

The crash test plan for the 2017 ARC-CSI Crash Conference is sure to be another unique and exciting combination of tests with a variety of focus areas. No other annual conference in the world offers the number or variety of tests not to mention the use of relevant and recent vintage test vehicles whether the subject is crash data, dynamics or anything else.

Each year for the past 15 years, the ARC-CSI Crash Conference has been the place for unique and meaningful, fully instrumented live crash tests.  As always, the test series will be fully instrumented and documented and the data, video and photos will be available at the end of the conference for those who attend.

The ARC-CSI Crash Team uses the most advanced and reliable crash test equipment to document each crash, then complies all of the collected data which is distributed to all attendees on a data DVD at the close of the conference.

To kick off the 2017 ARC-CSI Crash Conference, we will be transporting all attendees on a fleet of coach style buses to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway NASCAR track for a full day of live, fully instrumented crash testing. Attendees are welcome to video tape, photograph and inspect the crashes. Lunch will be provided.

Due to the overwhelming positive responses from last years conference we will again be inside the NASCAR track to conduct all crash tests. Attendees will gather in a private, air conditioned room overlooking the crash test area and a panoramic view of the NASCAR track. No more standing in the heat (unless you want to) and no more noisy, humid tents. There is also an outside balcony to view the crash test prep work and the actual crashes from a different perspective. You may also choose to view the crash tests at ground level.

ARC-CSI Crash ConferenceAnd then there's the "downtime" between crash tests.  While there are those who understand how labor intensive setting up, documenting and then moving on to the next testing evolution can be, the reality is it can be hot, boring and feel like a long time between tests.  This year, we are continuing the crash testing experience by providing optional activities and presentations for all the attendees.

Just want to "chill" in the air conditioned space?  There'll be tables for networking as well as all the normal liquid refreshments we normally have track side available, the cooked to order lunch stand (where you can use the "track bucks" you'll get with your registration welcome packet) which will stay open for extended time and more. There's really no reason to have to look for something to do between crashes, there'll be plenty of opportunities available to attendees this year.

Crash Testing Schedule
