Every year for the past 11 years running, the ARC-CSI Crash team has conducted multiple instrumented and documented full scale crash tests which have consistently been noted for their value as the basis for research and as reference in other research and projects. Without fail, conference attendees leave the conference with a complete collection of the detailed crash data, photos and video. This year, one of the main goals of the 2013 ARC-CSI Crash Conference will be to conduct a series of crash tests designed to update a study done some 20 years ago with newer model cars, CDR data, computer simulations, comparative measurement techniques and more. Don't miss out on being part of this landmark research! Conference Schedule: May 13-16, 2013
Special Thanks and Why Las Vegas The annual ARC-CSI Crash Conference requires a huge commitment of time, resources and money to provide a quality crash conference of this magnitude each year. We are often asked why we host this conference in Las Vegas and the answer is simple: support and cost-effectiveness so we can keep tuition prices down! Las Vegas has supported this training conference since 2003 and provides us with a second-to-none facility to conduct our crashes (Las Vegas Motor Speedway). They even provide us with extra support for storing cars, instrumentation, and test-runs the day prior to the conference to make sure everything runs smoothly. In addition, the Nevada Highway Patrol, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, City of North Las Vegas, Fast Towing and the Palace Station Hotel go above and beyond each year to help us make this conference a success. They help us locate and secure vehicles for testing, help with transporting vehicles, help to securely store vehicle that have been transported, help with emergency personnel at the track and disposal of vehicles. The Palace Station even gives us full-access to their overflow valet lot for our personal use for extra testing, storage and documentation - no other hotel would offer that support! Palace Station has also been very grateful by offering rooms at an unbelievably low price which saves each attendee over $200 in hotel expenses over the 4-days (as opposed to other hotels). Another consideration was travel accommodations. With the large hub of Maccaren Airport, each attendee has many options for flights in and out of Las Vegas at very reasonable pricing, and with the free shuttle from the airport to Palace Station, there is no need for a costly car rental. As you can see, we certainly don't host the conference in Vegas for any other reason other than we can provide top-notch training at an affordable price for attendees. About the ARC-CSI Crash Conference The ARC-CSI Crash Conference continues to set the standard for excellence in live, fully instrumented practical crash testing anywhere. Each year for the past 11 years, the ARC-CSI Crash Team has conducted multiple, fully instrumented crash tests that have been the basis for valuable insight into how various crash scenarios occur and have become the basis for a wealth of information on vehicle systems and operations. Nothing compares to an opportunity to see live, full scale crash tests and then, hours later, get your hands on actual data, video, photos and other documentation of those tests to take back and improve your crash reconstruction job performance. Each and every attendee leaves the conference with a data DVD that includes all of the crash test data (including high resolution video, digital pictures, CDR data, drawing files, and more) and speaker Power Points.
Crash day is followed by two days of technical presentations from leading subject matter experts. The ARC-CSI Crash Conference prides itself on bringing a variety of exceptional speakers and presentation topics to expand your knowledge of collision reconstruction and investigation. On the final day of the conference the ARC-CSI Crash Team presents each crash scenario conducted on day one with examples of how to use the data for future review and comparison.
